Uwe is the founding partner of Patalab, establishing the practice in 2008. With more than twenty years of professional experience, he has led the design and delivery of projects that have transformed sites across London, the wider United Kingdom and Europe. Uwe’s work spans residential, public, office and cultural environments and has been exhibited and published internationally. Before founding Patalab, Uwe worked for leading architectural firms in London, Germany and Asia.

Uwe’s design approach is informed by his dual cultural background, shaped through living, studying and working in both Germany and the United Kingdom. This perspective strengthens his ability to deliver complex projects in sensitive and challenging settings, resulting in architecture that engages with and enriches its context.

Alongside his practice commitments, Uwe has made a long-standing contribution to architectural education. He is currently a part time lecturer at the University of East London and has previously taught at Kingston University, The Bartlett School of Architecture at University College London and the University of Greenwich.
