Concept design model

Drawing inspiration from the unique exterior of the Rodney Gordon 1980’s rocket-like building, Patalab’s design picks up the futurist-like qualities and transforms the common parts into an enticing spatial arrangement, using mirrors, lighting and reflective finishes. A bespoke built-in seating area on the ground floor responses to the prestigious location and forms a welcoming feature in the entrance lobby.

Creating Prime Office Space

In the office areas, service ducting and ceiling detailing have been changed throughout. Combined with the renewal of the lighting, this physically and visually increases the floor height, whilst providing a well-lit and tempered prime office space.

The refurbishment works have been carried out in an extremely tight time frame whilst the upper floors of the building remained in full occupation. This was made possible by a well-coordinated design and close liaison between all stakeholders.

“This project has been a great success: the tired entrance lobby has been transformed into an inspirational and unique space whereas the offices have been upgraded to highest standards. Patalab not only provided excellent design services but also fully understood the commercial parameters, resulting in an innovative and economically viable project. The scheme’s design features set it clearly apart from other office developments and was a major contribution to its letting success.”
